Desktop Centrifuge

Desktop centrifuges are machines that use centrifugal force to separate components in a mixture of liquid and solid particles or liquid and liquid.

A desktop centrifuge is mainly used to separate solid particles in suspension from the liquid, or to separate two liquids of different densities in an emulsion and insoluble in each other (for example, separating cream from milk); it can also be used to exclude liquid from wet solids, such as using a washing machine to dry wet clothes; special ultra-speed tubular separators can also separate gas mixtures of different densities; using the different densities or particle sizes of solid particles in the liquid to settle at different rates, some sedimentation desktop centrifuges can also classify solid particles by density or particle size.

Desktop Centrifuge Precautions

(1) Before running the tabletop centrifuge, cut off the power and release the centrifuge brake first, you can try to rotate the drum by hand to see if there is a braking situation.

(2) Check other parts for looseness and abnormal conditions.

(3) Turn on the power and start the machine in a clockwise direction (it usually takes about 40-60 seconds from a standstill to normal operation).

(4) Usually, each piece of equipment must run empty for about 3 hours after arriving at the plant, and it can work without any abnormalities.

(5) Materials should be placed as evenly as possible.

(6) It must be operated by a person, and the capacity must not exceed the rated amount.

(7) It is strictly forbidden to run the machine at excessive speed, so as not to affect the service life of the machine.

(8) After the machine is started, if there is any abnormality, it must be stopped and checked, and if necessary, it must be dismantled and repaired.

(9) The desktop centrifuge works at high speed, so do not touch its drum with your body to prevent accidents.

(10) The mesh of the filter cloth should be determined according to the size of the solid phase particles of the separated materials, otherwise, the separation effect will be affected. In addition, when installing the filter cloth, the filter cloth should be

(11) The sealing ring should be embedded in the drum sealing groove to prevent the material from running in.

(12) In order to ensure the normal operation of the centrifuge, the rotating parts should be oiled and maintained after every 6 months. At the same time, check the running lubrication at the bearing, whether there is wear; brake device in the parts of the wear and tear, serious replacement; bearing cover for oil leakage.

(13) After the machine is used, should do a good job of cleaning, and keeping the machine neat and tidy.

(14) Do not use the non-anti-corrosive centrifuge for the separation of highly corrosive materials; in addition, strictly in accordance with the equipment requirements, and regulations, a non-explosion-proof centrifuge must not be used for flammable, explosive occasions.
