There are many types of vendors and merchants throughout Arkesia, but perhaps the rarest and most elusive shopkeepers in Lost Ark are Wandering Merchants. They are only available at certain times and locations to sell mostly exclusive items. Some of these items are quite valuable, so finding these merchants is important. You will learn how to find them and what they offer on this guide page.
There are two types of Wandering Merchants, regional and ships. Wandering Merchant Ships appear randomly at one of several islands every hour for 30 minutes. Regional Wandering Merchants can spawn in all zones except Dungeons and cities. Each Merchant spawns randomly in select locations within a region and appears on all channels in the zone for 25 minutes only.
Finding merchants is not very difficult. You can simply visit several settlements on one continent and look for merchant markers - the gray wagon wheel icon. To make looking them up easier, you and your party can split up and camp each of the Wandering Merchant’s possible spawn points and then send a global alert when one shows up.
If you don’t want to worry about checking the clock all the time or finding where a particular NPC is, you can use the Lost Merchant app. It works like many other services for online games fed by the community. Fill in your server and region then you can see how much time until the Merchants spawn or for how long they are up.
The primary goods the Wandering Merchants can offer are:
Two meals - you can use one meal and equip it to your character to increase their stats - however, this feature is available only for higher-level characters/equipment.
Rapport Item - items with a heart icon that you can give to rapport-related NPCs to build relationships faster with them. The reward stages of Rapport with these NPCs will give you a lot of lost ark gold.
Cards - merchants have random cards that you can add to your deck - you will use them later in the game. Using a card you already have will convert it into a special experience used to upgrade cards.
Stronghold Crew - Having many crew members is important because these are crucial for dispatch missions, and their rating affects the outcome of the quest.
